Long wait for a to go order, less than a dozen shrimp on a whole sandwich, not true po-boy bread and overpriced. This place is not so far removed from New Orleans that they lack the knowledge of how to make a real po-boy, they are just choosing not to and taking the cheap way out. Wish I hadn't stopped and wasted my time and money.

When they call their soup small, they aren't really doing it justice. That thing was not only delicious, but gigantic! It's almost impossible to find such a delicious meal for such a low price (I think it was 5.95 for a water and soup w/bread). I highly recommed this place to anyone in the area.

A group of 14 of us showed up Saturday night at almost closing time after helping flood victims with Mormon Helping Hands. The food was awesome and they kept the doors open for us. It was a good time!

Best Oyster Po-Boy in the World!!!

They have very good poboys and workers are always friendly. Eat there or get it to go, either way you won't be disappointed. I enjoy the Cajun pork roast and the boiled shrimp.

The Chis's special is awesome, it is packed with ham and roast beef, and the sauce is fantastic. And the bread is fresh and soft with the perfect combination of veggies, but I must say this is a meat eaters meal. You will get a sizable amount of meat, and that is what I like.

Service excellent. Food was delicious, as usual. Been too long since I've visited. Chris's Special mmmm, homemade gumbo, awesome muffuletta. Wow!

Not a fancy place. Just good ol Cajun cooking. If you order a large gumbo you better be hungry. Parking isn't the best.

Been years since I've ate there. Lead a motorcycle ride on Friday night the food was good and service also.

Ordered the Chris Special. Half Size. Very good flavor. Consist of roast beef and ham with gravy. Only issue with sandwich I thought too overpriced. Paid over $9 for 1/2 sandwich with fries. No drink nor anything else. Sandwich was small for price and did not have much meat as you can see with picture. Fries were cold and seemed undercooked. This was my 3rd time coming here and same results. Too many other places in Lafayette to get some fine dining at reasonable prices. Again, flavor was delicious on sandwich and that is why I gave it 3 stars.

The food here is usually pretty good! Just do not order in the evening. I ordered a Shrimp Poboy for Lunch and it was so delicious....I ordered a second to take back home to my daughter. Two weeks later, I wanted to share my experience with others and ordered Three Shrimp Poboys during the evening. These tasted NOTHING like the ones I had for Lunch. It was disappointing and embarrassing, that after spending almost $50, to try to consume that. The bread tasted completely different; the toppings were all on the side instead of on the Poboy itself, and when I called to let them know or see what's going on, the guy just said "okay". ?????Yes, never had this experience before. Go during the day, when the folks working actually care about what they prepare.

Not a first timer,very disappointed in today's service. Ordered a whole roast beef sandwich and small salad,roast beef was very burnt and salad looked as if it was ready for the compost pile,that along with my change being thrown on the counter instead of my hand insures I won't be back!!

Tried both a shrimp po-boy and a turkey po-boy. Both were very good! Price was reasonable, and you will leave full after a full sandwich. I'll definitely be coming back to try some of their other sandwiches.
